Our Story
Lenox tells a story that begins in the kitchens of Puerto Rico and Cuba, passes through the stoops and bodegas of Harlem, and now has a home in Seattle’s Belltown. It is a story of heritage and migration, of memory and imagination, brought to life by Chef Jhonny Reyes.
Born in Harlem and raised in Seattle, Jhonny started Lenox during the pandemic as a meal delivery service, cooking the food of his roots for his community. What began as takeout evolved into a pop-up, and today has grown into the restaurant you see now, a space that feels equal parts neighborhood table and family gathering.
The food we serve is not meant to be a replica of the island. It is our interpretation, rooted in the flavors that raised us, shaped by where we have been, and inspired by the people and ingredients that surround us here in the Pacific Northwest.
You may not find dishes that taste exactly as you remember them, and that is because they come from our own memories as well, made with love and shaped by the lives we have lived. What we hope you find is something familiar in spirit: the comfort of home, the rhythm of family, and the care that goes into every bite.
At Lenox, we believe food is alive. It carries history, but it also grows. Every dish we cook honors the past while creating something entirely our own. We are grateful to share this piece of our story with you.
